Fabio Rinaldi opens the Treviso Marathon golden register. The Piedmontese, Renato Canovas pupil, has ended the race in 2h1148, catching and passing the Kenyan Philemon Kipkering (2h1249). Fabio Rinaldo, who before Treviso Marathon wanted to end his runner career, has also set his new personal record (31 improvement). Third the Sicilian Vincenzo Modica, former world vicechampion, who has finished the race in 2h1302.
Hafida Izem, a Morrocan living in Matera, has solitary run since the first kilometers, ending the race in 2h3758. Second the Italian record-holder Maura Viceconte (2h4029), nearly at the end of her career.
Along the course there was a large number of public: It seemed to had been in New York, says Emanuela Zucchi, one of the greatest Italian marathon runners.
Cheers have exalted the disabled athlete Francesca Porcellato, who has ended the Treviso marathon with a personal record (1h4429). With 2.662 athletes arrived at the finishing line, the Treviso Marathon is, already in the first edition, the 6th Italian marathon.
